158th Annual Assembly
The 2026 Annual Assembly Guide containing information on matters that we will be discussing at the Gathering is now available! Inside the Guide you’ll find:
- Nominees for positions on the Assembly Council, Morling College Council and Property Trust. (This is the same information as was released separately last Friday 17 April)
- A recommendation from Assembly Council regarding the reappointment of Steve Bartlett as Director of Ministries
- Candidates for Accreditation
- Churches proceeding to Affiliation
- Information about other matters we will be discussing at the Annual Assembly.
To participate as a Voting Member of the Annual Assembly, you’ll need to register.
Here’s who can register as a Voting Member:
- Delegates appointed by an affiliated church.
A church is entitled to appoint 2 delegates for the first 50 of its church members, and an additional delegate for each 50 members (or portion thereof) after the first 50. - Alternate (standby) delegates appointed by an affiliated church as per section 8.3(b) of the Association Constitution.
- The Principal/Lead minister of each affiliated church.
- Accredited ministers of the Association.
- Cross-cultural ministry workers attached to Baptist Mission Australia.
Persons eligible to be members of Assembly by virtue of their position, as per section 8.2(c) of the Association Constitution.
